AIIMS MBBS Entrance

Out of those candidates who applied for and appeared in the Competitive Entrance Examination and have also submitted documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying examination with the required subjects along with an attested true copy/photocopy of the mark-sheet showing the required percentage of the total marks in aggregate , a merit list will be drawn according to the following procedure.

 

Based on the result of the Competitive Entrance Examination, separate merit lists will be prepared  for :

 

  1. General category candidates
  2. Scheduled Castes candidates
  3. Scheduled tribe candidates

 

Thirty four (34) candidates from the merit list of General category, seven(7) candidates from the merit list of Scheduled Castes category and four (4) candidates from the merit list of Scheduled Tribe category will be admitted.

 

 

In case seven (7) candidates from the Scheduled Castes or four(4) candidates from the Scheduled Tribe categories are not available, then eleven (11) candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and/or Scheduled Tribe taken together will be selected for reserved seats.  In case,11 candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and /or Scheduled Tribe are not available, then the number of candidates selected on the basis of merit for general seats shall be correspondingly in creased so that the total  number of candidates selected for the M.B.B.S. course is 45. The remaining candidates will be kept on the waiting list in order of merit.

 

 

For each category on the merit list, in case of two or more candidate obtaining equal marks in the competitive entrance examination, the inter-se merit of such candidates in each category shall be determined in order of preference as under :-

 

  1. Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the entrance examination.
  2. Candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the entrance examination.
  3. Candidates obtaining higher marks in Physics in the entrance examination.
  4. Candidates older in age to be preferred.
