Eligibility criteria is according to engineering branch:

(A) BACHELOR DEGREE COURSES:

(1) Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT)
Eligibility:All candidates who have passed Diploma course in any discipline from SLIET or from any other polytechnic affiliated with any State Board of Technical Education and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, are eligible to compete for admission to any of the Degree Programmes.

(2) BE (Mechanical Engineering)
Eligibility:All candidates who have passed Diploma course in any discipline from SLIET or from any other polytechnic affiliated with any State Board of Technical Education and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, are eligible to compete for admission to any of the Degree Programmes.

(3) BE (Computer Science and Engineering)
Eligibility:All candidates who have passed Diploma course in any discipline from SLIET or from any other polytechnic affiliated with any State Board of Technical Education and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, are eligible to compete for admission to any of the Degree Programmes.

(4) BE (Chemical Technology)
Eligibility:All candidates who have passed Diploma course in any discipline from SLIET or from any other polytechnic affiliated with any State Board of Technical Education and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, are eligible to compete for admission to any of the Degree Programmes.

(B) DIPLOMA COURSES in SLIET:

(1) Diploma in Computer Science and Application (DCA)
Eligibility:The minimum qualification for admission to the Diploma programmes is 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board/University or a Certificate pass from SLIET in any trade. The candidates who have studied Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology instead of Chemistry at 10+2 level are also eligible.

(2) Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering (DCE)
Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to the Diploma programmes is 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board/University or a Certificate pass from SLIET in any trade. The candidates who have studied Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology instead of Chemistry at 10+2 level are also eligible.

(3) Diploma in Chemical Technology (DCT)
Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to the Diploma programmes is 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board/University or a Certificate pass from SLIET in any trade. The candidates who have studied Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology instead of Chemistry at 10+2 level are also eligible.

(4) Diploma in Food Technology (DFT)
Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to the Diploma programmes is 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board/University or a Certificate pass from SLIET in any trade. The candidates who have studied Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology instead of Chemistry at 10+2 level are also eligible.

(C) CERTIFICATE COURSES in SLIET:

(1) Certificate in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (CAC&R)
Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to the Certificate programme is Matric pass (Pass in English, Mathematics and Science is compulsory) from a State Secondary Education Board/ CBSE/ ICSE/National Open School or equivalent.

(2) Certificate in Auto and Farm Machinery (CAFM)
Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to the Certificate programme is Matric pass (Pass in English, Mathematics and Science is compulsory) from a State Secondary Education Board/ CBSE/ ICSE/National Open School or equivalent.

(3) Certificate in Computer Applications (CCA)
Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to the Certificate programme is Matric pass (Pass in English, Mathematics and Science is compulsory) from a State Secondary Education Board/ CBSE/ ICSE/National Open School or equivalent.

(4) Certificate in Foundry and Forging (CFF)
Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to the Certificate programme is Matric pass (Pass in English, Mathematics and Science is compulsory) from a State Secondary Education Board/ CBSE/ ICSE/National Open School or equivalent.

(5) Certificate in Maintenance of Television (CTV)

Eligibility: The minimum qualification for admission to the Certificate programme is Matric pass (Pass in English, Mathematics and Science is compulsory) from a State Secondary Education Board/ CBSE/ ICSE/National Open School or equivalent.
