All India institute of medical science was established by an act of parliament of 1956,an which the faculty member ,staff and the student live in the campus there are 8 hostel(6 for boys and 2 for girls) with a capacity of 850 student .

       The competitive entrance exam will be of 3.5 hours duration and will have one paper consisting of 200 objective question from physic,chemistry ,biology and general knowledge

Every PMT aspirant aspirant dreams of making it to AIIMS the premier medical institute in India .but making it to AIIMS is not easy as more than 1.5 lakh student sit for just 34 seat in the general category .also the marking pattern strict as compared to AICBSE as you lose 1/3 marks for each wrong answer .even the cut off percentage inAIIMS (usually range between 65-70%) is much higher than all India CBSE-PMT ,so getting into AIIMS as MBBS student can be tough but not impossible.

In AIIMS all the question are concept based not twisted form like IITJEE . for example in physic all you have to know is which formula to apply to the particular question and than make the correct calculation .most of the student make the correct formula application but jumble up with the calculation .

       The most important subject in PMT is physics ,it is the subject which give you edge over other subject and if you can score well in physic it can compensate for not doing well in other subject .one need minimum 2 year of intensive studying .after school one should spend 4 to 5 hour daily studies  

      As far as right book are concern for AIIMS read any book available in the market but do not neglect your NCERT books as they form the base of a good PMT preparation .if you are not thorough with the NCERT books especially the text contained in pink/blue boxes moving to other books is useless .for physics theory read kumar mittal and h.c verma and pradeep for numerical ,interactive physic by p.ravi is very good for clearing concept in different topics like Newton law of motion .in chemistry read o.p tendon .and for zoology and botany ramesh gupta ,m.p.kaushik.and solve MCQ as possible especially from previous year .

While doing MCQ during preparation attempt all question ,and the question which you unable to solve skip them and tackle them later .and during revision concentrate on these question .also always be particular and careful to solve the MCQ .
