Microbiology

The study of very small living things like bacteria or other microscopic organisms is called Microbiology. All living things including plan~ animals and even human beings are exposed to bacteria and viruses. One who specialises or is an expert in the field of studying their occurrence, growth, development, control and utilization bacteria affecting all life is known as Micro-Biologist.

A microbiologist prepares cultures of various types of bacterial for examines them under microscope and isolates various sample for identification. He observes reaction of bacteria in contact with various kinds of chemical substances and effects of change by physical environment. He also analyses substances produced by bacteria while acting on organic matter.

To enter this field, you must go for B.5c course in Microbiology offered by many Universities and colleges. To pursue the course, you must have passed 10+2 with science subjects. Further, higher Courses are also available.
